It’s been a while since I updated my blog, so here is an update.
That oil cooler project for the 550 ended up being wasted effort. As it turns out, the slightly restricted oil flow caused by my skillfully bent oil lines caused the oil light to come on at idle when the engine was hot. It wasn’t harmful, just annoying. The end result was hours of wasted time and removal of the oil cooler.
The new fuse panel seems to be working out well. I did have one fuse blow, which was on the turn signal (indicator) circuit. I’m not sure why it happened.
The same day the fuse blew the stator took a crap. I replaced the burnt stator with new one I purchased last year before my Deals Gap Trip. All seems fine now, but I will probably purchase a new one or rewind my old stator for a spare.
Lastly, I finally made my return to motorcycle vlogging. A recently purchased Vado HD allowed me to do so. You can check out my return video on my YouTube page.
