Summer is over (2011)
Well, summer is officially over. It seems like it was only yesterday that the 2011 riding season started, and now it’s ending. It doesn’t feel like I rode that many miles this year, at least not as many as last year. I think that the Deals Gap trip made up at least half of my…

Eleven Days!
Well, it’s only 11 days until I leave for Deals Gap. I’ve spent more money than I planned for the trip, but I think the spent funds will only enhance my trip. So far I’ve built racks, bought hard cases, and purchased miscellaneous equipment for the trip an my time down there. Hopefully, the extra…

Twenty-five Days

Need two wheels!!!
I definitely could use some two wheeled therapy right now. Life has thrown a slight curve ball, and a nice bike ride is in order.

Officially the end to the season…
I’ve officially ended my riding season. The bikes are now stored in my shed, fuel stabilizer added, and with batteries removed. I took one last ride on both the 550 and DR, totalling about 50 miles, or about 25 miles each, before I parked them. Both will be missed during the cold, dark winter months.…

Dropped DR
I dropped the DR yesterday, twice in a row, while on a very challenging, very rocky road I knew I shouldn’t have been on.The drops happened while I was trying to turn around on the narrow, rocky, downward sloping surface that is the road. It was a simple case of the bike being a bit…
